Hunterwood Village II is a community with tremendous pride. This small community in east Houston displays the spirit every community, large or small, should. Hunterwood Village II still manages to do great things for its residents.
At one time, the Association owned only a small empty lot. They diligently saved money for years to turn a lonely lot into a pleasant park full of laughter. Today, it boasts a swing-set, picnic tables, benches and small playground equipment. The Board is currently reviewing plans to upgrade and enhance their park.
To further boost community unity, each year the community buys frozen turkeys for each residence to celebrate their own family holiday traditions. This event has been a tremendous success for several years now and has even spread to neighboring communities who wanted to do something great for their residents as well. They also incorporated a Christmas Decorating Contest, after all, what brings people together better than a little friendly competition?
In addition to providing community events, they have also been fortunate enough to make generous contributions to a local scholarship fund. Starting in the Spring of 2009, Hunterwood Village II will be presenting their own scholarship fund to qualified students within the community. This association takes considerable emphasis in recognizing the importance of education in developing their children’s future.
What this community lacks in amenities, it more than makes up for in Community Spirit and a willingness to give. Congratulations Hunterwood Village II’s residents and Board members past and present for knowing the true meaning of community spirit and unity. C.I.A. Services is proud to manage such an outstanding neighborhood for the past twenty years. We look forward to many more!
