Mulberry Farms Residential Association, Inc.
Mulberry Farms Residential Association, Inc.
Located in the heart of Santa Fe, Texas, Mulberry Farms Residential Association offers residents both the charm of small-town life and the convenience of a thoughtfully planned community. The heart of the community lies between Highway 1764, Highway 6, and Interstate 45; because of this great location, the community boasts convenient access to downtown Houston, Galveston Island, and Bay Area Houston while providing a quaint, friendly environment that feels removed from the hustle and bustle.

The community will feature 168 single-family residences and 12 acres of retention ponds. Construction is still underway, but this doesn’t stop the neighborhood from feeling like home. Residents work diligently to shape Mulberry Farms and share feedback on what they would like to see in the future. In the past year, Mulberry Farms faced an unforeseen challenge when the developer closed its business—all while the community was still mid-development. While it would have been easy to lose momentum on unfinished projects or halt the community’s growth, devoted volunteers stepped forward to guide the association through the transition. Because of Mulberry Farm’s amazing volunteers, the community continues to grow and establish a reputation as a family-friendly, welcoming place to live.

Working alongside our company, the Mulberry Farms volunteers have addressed outstanding development items and made progress on major community projects. These projects include streetlight installations, securing a permanent irrigation meter, coordinating required signage, completing sidewalk construction, and arranging an ADA inspection at the park. Volunteers have also risen to the occasion to process home improvement applications for property owners. Though some improvements remain ongoing, volunteers continue to move the needle toward completion for these pivotal projects.

Strong volunteer participation in Mulberry Farms has helped the community develop a unique warmth. Likewise, the community’s representatives plan numerous events to encourage resident involvement and socialization. The Board recently expanded from three to five members to incorporate more resident feedback, and the Mulberry Farms team has taken measures to establish a Social Committee for the community. The new Social Committee has organized several events since its establishment, ranging from National Night Out celebrations, the Mulberry Market—a local neighborhood craft market geared toward supporting local businesses, the Summer Kick-Off at the pavilion with cold treats, and a community garage sale. In the future, residents can expect events at the recently improved pavilion and community barbeques. Both the notable volunteerism and the many community events in Mulberry Farms promote warmth and involvement throughout the community.

Looking ahead, the Mulberry Farms team is exploring improvement opportunities for the community’s recreation area. Potential avenues include grants aimed at funding future projects and continuing to raise the standard of living. The team is also investigating the installation of additional neighborhood lighting to promote safety for families at play and pedestrians. Residents can expect much more progress in infrastructure and community events alike. These efforts reflect the team’s commitment to making Mulberry Farms an inviting community as its development continues to unfold.

The development of Mulberry Farms acts as a reminder that a great community is about more than homes, amenities, and beautifully planned surroundings. More than anything, community is about the people who invest their time, talents, and energy into bettering their neighborhoods. Regardless of what a community faces, exceptional volunteers can see projects through to completion and improve the places they live. Through the dedication of its Board members, committee volunteers, and engaged homeowners, Mulberry Farms is steadily building not only a neighborhood, but a community residents can be proud to call home. We are proud to manage this wonderful community and to share its story in this month’s Community Spotlight.
