New Humble Office Update

Our last major building update came in the April eNews when we celebrated the near-completion of the outside of our new office building in Humble. We now have some more exciting updates to share!

Our building’s exterior is fully complete and looks great! The interior floors, walls, and millwork are done and polished. Additionally, the property’s landscaping, detention pond, and walking path are finished, giving it that green touch. We are now in the process of selecting and ordering furniture and décor. All that’s left are the finishing touches!

We will be moving into our new space from July 8th to July 11th. Humble Office employees will not have access to email during this time, but it should be restored no later than July 12th.

This has been a very exciting process for all of us. We’re delighted to move into the Atascocita area near many of our communities with a larger, upgraded space to better help us help you. Stay tuned for our move-in next month!

Volunteer Spotlight

Jennifer Tunink of Sonoma Ranch Homeowners Association
by Valerie Lehr

This month we are excited to recognize Jennifer Tunink, Vice President of Sonoma Ranch Homeowners Association for our Volunteer Spotlight.  Jennifer along with her husband and 3 daughters ages 12, 10 and 6, have lived in the community since 2008. She has served on the HOA Board for 4 years, and since joining, she has been instrumental in the design and completion of the Association’s new clubhouse.  You can always find her helping out with the yearly pool pass distribution and making sure the pool is a clean and healthy environment for all residents. Recently she told me she became a board member because she was curious about how the HOA worked and it has been an eye-opening experience.  She continues to be on the board because she values her community, and wants to make sure the children in her community have a safe, fun experience growing up in Sonoma Ranch.

Jennifer obtained her Bachelors of Music degree from Southwest Texas State University (Texas State) and a Master of Education from Lamar University. She has worked at Channelview HS for 15 years, 11 of those years teaching band. She currently serves as the Director of Fine Arts for the district. Prior to her time in Channelview, she taught band in Tarkington ISD. Jennifer recently achieved a career milestone celebrating her 20th year as an educator!

Jennifer is the epitome of volunteerism by donating her time and energy for the betterment of others in both her personal and professional life. Thank you for all you do!

Associations in Practice

Our Associations in Practice Series is an offering of short videos with very specific topics.  Our newest video is Texas 87th Legislative Session.  The 2021 session of the Texas legislature produced significant changes to the Texas Property Code affecting property owners’ associations. This video explores those changes and provides specific follow-up recommendations.

Super-Budget Concepts is a great introduction (or refresher) to our Super-budget and a nice refresher or opening to the full webinar offered in our Seminar Series.

In our video, Short Term Rentals, we offer insight into short-term rental properties. We have an expert panel on board discussing everything from what a short-term rental is, to potential problems and possible solutions.

All of our Associations in Practice Series videos will be available on our YouTube channel. We will send updates when new material is added. You can also subscribe to our channel for news on the latest additions.
