Amenities

The community of Crockett Park is located in the city limits of Baytown, in Harris County. While there are no amenities within the boundaries of the Association, there are several local parks and attractions for residents to enjoy without traveling too far from their own backyard!

San Jacinto Monument, San Jacinto Battlegrounds

The San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Site holds a significant responsibility to preserve the proud history of the State of Texas and the United States. The famous Battle of San Jacinto that brought Texas its independence was fought on this site. Because of the great importance of the Battle to the course of history, the Battleground is of state, national and international significance, a fact that is attested to by the site’s National Historic Landmark status.

BattleshipTexas

In 1948, the Battleship Texas became the first battleship memorial museum in the U.S. That same year, on the anniversary of Texas Independence, the Texas was presented to the State of Texas and commissioned as the flagship of the Texas Navy. In 1983, the Texas was placed under the stewardship of the Texas Parks and Wildlife and is permanently anchored on the Buffalo Bayou and the busy Houston Ship Channel. The Texas Parks and Wildlife’s 1,200-acre San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Site consists of the Battleground, Monument and Battleship Texas.

Baytown Nature Center

Imagine taking a quiet stroll through a 400+ acre nature preserve with uplands, transitional zones, oak motts and wetlands. Enjoy numerous butterflies, dragonflies and damselflies, wildflowers, mammals, aquatic organisms and over 315 species of birds thriving in this unique area. Experience seeing threatened and endangered species in their habitats.

Association

Architectural Review Committee (ARC)
Architectural Review Committee (ARC) All exterior alterations or improvements to a property must be reviewed and approved in advance of construction by the Architectural Review Committee (ARC). Residents must submit a home improvement application describing the work to be performed. The ARC will review the request and render a decision within 30 days. If it is not approved as submitted, the ARC may provide suggestions for making changes so it can be resubmitted for approval.

To complete your application, click on Ask. Request. Submit. There you will enter all of the information needed in order for the committee to make an informed decision. Any applications dealing with the exterior appearance of the house (such as painting or roofing) must be accompanied with project details or the application might be disapproved for lack of information. Also include a plat map or survey of the property that indicates the project in conjunction with the property lines and easements when applicable.

As soon as you have gathered your information, you are ready to get started.

Visit the Community Documents page to review all of the governing documents or click Modification Guidelines.
