Loose Dogs
Please be responsible for your pet.  When dogs are not on a leash, they must be securely confined. When a dog’s owner is not present, it may feel threatened by a stranger and act out of character.  It is your responsibility to ensure the safety of your neighbors by having full control of your dogs at all times. 

If your pet is impounded by Harris County Pet Public Health & Environmental Services you will receive a citation up to $40 for first offense, $80 for the second and $120 for the third offense. License fees, vaccination, neutering etc. can cost up to an additional $65 if you do not have current documentation. Worst of all, impounded animals without identification are only kept for three days. Your pets are special to you. Don’t risk losing them. Keep them secured at all times..
