2025 Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions Amendment Vote


Article X Section 12. Leasing.  Townhouses may be leased solely for residential purposes and only for lease terms of no less than 180 consecutive days. Every lease shall provide that the tenant shall be bound by and subject to this Declaration.  The Owner making such lease shall not be relieved from any of such obligations. 

Residences may be rented or leased only in their entirety, and only by written leases and subject to the following restrictions:

  • Rental of rooms or of less than the entire Townhouse is strictly prohibited. 
  • Short-term, transient or vacation rentals of all or any portion of any Townhouse are strictly prohibited.  All lease or rental terms shall be for a minimum term of 180 consecutive days.  
  • Timeshare, fractional ownership or similar use of Townhouses which would result in transient-type use is strictly prohibited.                          
  • Minimum lease term provisions do not apply in instances where an Owner sells his/her Townhouse and delivers the property to the buyer according to a temporary residential lease form promulgated by the Texas Real Estate Commission.
  • Nothing herein is intended to alter, modify or amend the Declaration except as specifically provided hereinabove.

A vote to APPROVE the proposed amendment is a vote in favor of PROHIBITING Short-Term Rentals such as Airbnb, VRBOs, and other transient rentals in Park at Hollister.  

A vote to DISAPPROVE the proposed amendment is a vote in favor of ALLOWING Short-Term Rentals such as Airbnb, VRBOs, and other transient rentals in Park at Hollister.

Why are we conducting this election?

VOTE ANNOUNCEMENT. A vote of the members of Park at Hollister Homeowners Association, Inc. will be held to amend the association’s Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions. The proposed amendment would Prohibit Short-Term Rentals (e.g., Airbnb, VRBO) within the community. 

ELECTION. The amendment vote will open on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, and will end on Tuesday, July 16, 2025. The results will be announced via email at the conclusion of the vote. 

VALIDATION. You must enter the 6 digit PIN from the written meeting announcement to validate your vote. Votes without a PIN or with an incorrect PIN will not be counted.
