The Game

We couldn't have asked for a more exciting game. At the time, the Houston Aeros were fighting over a final playoff spot with the Peoria Rivermen. The Aeros had been struggling when the Rivermen came to town for Hockey Night. After back and forth scoring, the game was tied 3-3 at the end of regulation. Nobody scored during overtime so it went to a sudden death shoot-out. The Aeros last shooter scored to win the game to the delight over 11,000 fans.

C.I.A. Services was recognized on the ice before the game as Honorary Aeros with Vice President Laura Tate's daughter Melody and Executive Vice President Renea Miksch waving to the full house.
