Acquisition of Management Professionals of Texas

We are very pleased to announce that C.I.A. Services acquired the assets of Management Professionals of Texas (MPTX) as of September 1st.  MPTX has managed communities in the greater San Antonio area for 27 years.  This acquisition coincides with the retirement of the president of MPTX.

With this acquisition, we have 75 new communities with 16,000 properties.  We are continuing to operate the MPTX office in northwest San Antonio and have retained the experienced staff from MPTX.

Over the last month, we have been very busy getting to know our new clients, meeting community members, renovating the office, upgrading technology and transferring data and operations into our systems. Every C.I.A. Services employee is playing an integral part in the success of this major transition. We’ve brought in additional staff and contractors to ensure that the needs of every client, new and old, are met.

We are excited about the prospects ahead as we blend the relationships developed by MPTX with the talents and technology of C.I.A. Services. As always, our focus is on delivering excellent service to all of our clients.

What an awesome way to celebrate our 30th anniversary!

Effective Monday, October 6th, we are expanding our customer service hours. All office locations will operate from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Additionally, our Customer Service Department will be available by phone and email until 8:00 p.m. You can reach our offices by calling 713-981-9000 (Houston), 210-490-0000 (San Antonio), 1-866-219-0563 (toll free) or by emailing customercare@ciaservices.com.

As always, we will continue to have staff available after hours to address emergency situations at community facilities. The emergency coverage staff can be reached by dialing any of our numbers and following the prompts to report a facility emergency.

With these extended hours, you can count on a Community Specialist from our Customer Service Department to be on hand to assist callers and reply to emails 12 hours a day, 5 days per week.

We are excited to be able to offer these extended hours and are committed to providing the highest level of service.

Our Newest Community Managers

We are very pleased to announce the promotions of Jennifer Northington, Nicole Toland, and Brandi Brack. These ladies were recently named our newest Community Managers.  Jennifer is a member of our North office; Nicole, our Southwest; and Brandi, our San Antonio office.

Jennifer Northington joined C.I.A. Services as an Administrative Assistant in 2012 and was quickly promoted to the position of Assistant Manager working with several communities.  Jennifer recently earned the CMCA designation (Certified Manager of Community Associations) from the Community Associations Institute and is continuing her education and working toward earning additional designations.

Nicole Toland joined C.I.A. Services in 2011 as an Administrative Assistant shortly after receiving an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Army following an accident while serving our country in Iraq.   Nicole was also quickly promoted to Assistant Manager and has been in that role for about two years.

Brandi Brack joined our company in October of last year as a member of our Accounting Department, working out of our Bandera office.  With the addition of the San Antonio location, Brandi transferred and will be managing several of our new San Antonio communities.

We value all of our employees and are especially pleased to watch them meet the challenges presented and grow into greater responsibilities.  Join us in congratulating Jennifer, Nicole, and Brandi on these exciting advancements as we recognize their growth within the company.

Cinco Ranch Residential Association II Chester Pleasant
by Candace Look

Chester Pleasant has lived in the Cinco Ranch Residential Association II since 2008. Since he has lived in the community he has volunteered in several capacities.

Currently, he is the Vice President of the Cinco Ranch II Board of Directors, Chester has been a Cinco II board of director since 2010. In addition, he has served as a Cinco II Neighborhood Delegate, Cinco Southwest MUD 2 Board Member, as well as more than 34 years of experience at Shell Oil in organizational, team and personal development.

His experience in working for a large company assists him in making sound decisions on the board. He has also been instrumental in the budgeting process and looking at the future of the association, including the long term financial needs as well as managing cost overall. He has also been a voice for the owners of the community during the development period and is always willing to take the time to listen to their concerns.

Chester lives in the community with his wife Gillian and son Kenneth. He enjoys attending his son’s athletic events and has been an assistant coach on a few sports teams. He has also been the recipient of awards for the many different events he has lead, as well as his assistance in mentoring.

Chester’s passion and devotion to his community makes him a true volunteer. The Cinco Ranch Residential Association II is very fortunate to have such an outstanding volunteer and C.I.A. Services, Inc. is truly delighted to continue working and growing with such an outstanding volunteer.

Thank you Chester for all you do!

Click here to read the seminar descriptions and see the schedule.  We have a great lineup:

  • Board Member Orientation
  • Advanced Topics for Board Members
  • Meeting & Records - The Legal Requirements
  • Understanding Collections & Financial Reports
  • The Super Budgeting Process
  • Practical Deed Restriction Management
  • Essentials of Architectural Control

Each two-hour seminar begins at 6:00 pm and we provide a light dinner in case you come straight from work.  You’ll leave with a wealth of practical information and a notebook for future reference.

The Super-Budgeting Process

"Super-Budgeting" is our term for preparing a comprehensive long term budget and business plan. This isn’t something you do on the back of an envelope an hour before the budget meeting. We’ll break the process down into understandable components and show you how assets and reserves fit into the picture. We’ll start with a simple question that very few people can answer correctly: "How much money should our Association have in the bank?" By the end of the seminar, you’ll know the correct answer for your Association. This is a critical seminar to take before you start looking at budgets.
