Community Information

Baseball Field

A practice baseball field for young players is located next to the tennis courts at the main park. During the spring, organized teams reserve the ballfields for practice. Reservations for the practice season are given out in the order received. A team may normally only reserve one time slot per week. To reserve a time slot, sent an email to pbca@ciaservices.com with the name of your team, date you need the baseball field and time. Board of Directors

The Association is overseen by a five member Board of Directors who live in the community and volunteer their time. Each Board member serves a two-year term with elections held at the annual meeting each November (three elected in odd numbered years and two elected in even numbered years).

City Limits

The majority of Pine Brook is within the city limits of Houston but the northeast corner is within the city limits of Pasadena. The homes in sections 12, 13, 14 as well as the patio home section are in Pasadena. All homes in all sections have a "Houston, Texas 77059" mailing address.

Committees

Architectural Review - Reviews applications for home improvement. The committee has up to 60 days to make a decision. The committee meets once per month to review all applications that have been received at least one week before their meeting.

Public Safety - Coordinates security patrols of community parks by off-duty officers. Works with local authorities on crime and saftey issues in the community. Assists in sponsoring block parties for National Night Out.

Parks & Grounds - Coordinates new plantings and seasonal color in landscaped beds throughout the community. Assists in planning landscaping improvements throughout the community. Coordinates special projects such as the 2008 Wetlands Restoration Project.

Social - This committee coordinates community events including Easter Egg Hunt, Pool Parties, 4th of July Parade, community Garage Sales and the Holiday Hayride.


Community Meetings

The Board of Directors also holds a meeting the 1st Monday of each month. These meetings are usually held at 6:00 p.m. at the offices of Daughtry & Jordan 17044 El Camino Real. Meetings are open to hear from residents but all homeowners must send their request in writing to C.I.A. Services, Inc. at least 2 weeks in advance of the meeting to be placed on the agenda and distributed to the Board in advance of the meeting. The Board usually does not meet in December.

The Annual Meeting and election of directors is held on the second Wednesday of November at Brookwood Elementary School. All homeowners are mailed an official notification and proxy in advance.

Pool Rentals

The Pool and Pavilion rental service is provided through Poseidon Pools. Please call 281-338-7665 for rental information. All parties are to be scheduled outside of normal operation hours. Two weeks advance notice is required for scheduling arrangements. Full information on pool or pavilion rentals is provided on the rental agreements on the Community Documents page.

Pool Tags & Swim Lessons

Pool tags are available at the pool on the first Saturday in May. Pool tags are available at C.I.A. Services at all other times by mailing or faxing in registration forms. Tags are free to all homeowners who are members in good standing. Two guests are allowed to acompany residents per tag. Recreational Facilities

Pine Brook has one main park at Park Center Way and Clear Lake City Boulevard, and numerous pocket parks throughout the community. The main park has a pool, pavilion, four tennis courts, basketball court, playground and a natural wetlands area with an observation deck. There is a second wetlands area located across CLC Boulevard from the main park.

Streetlights

Streetlighting in the community is paid for through your city taxes and the lights are maintained by CenterPoint Energy. They do not do routine inspections of the lights so the only way to make sure a light is repaired is to contact CenterPoint. You'll need the 6 digit pole shown on the pole and the approximate address or intersection. Call them at 713-207-2222 or click here to report the outage online. Online reporting is very easy.

Swim Team

Pine Brook is proud to be the long time home of the Orcas swim team. The team practices at the pool in the mornings and has several home swim meets during the season. For more information, please visit the Orcas' web site at www.pinebrookwoodorcas.org .

Tennis Court Keys

One key is issued per homeowner for $12.00 each.

Trash Services

The trash service for the community is provided by either the City of Pasadena or the City of Houston.

If you are in the City of Houston, pick up is on Thursdays with heavy trash collected on the first Wednesday of each month. The phone number for the Houston Public Works Department is 713-837-0311. For large items and big bundles please remember that all trees and limbs are picked up on heavy day in odd months. Big items including appliances are picked on heavy day in even months.

If you are in the City of Pasadena, Waste Management (281-487-5000) handles the contract for the city. Pick up is on Tuesdays and Fridays. Recycling is on Wednesdays. Heavy trash pickup is on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month. The phone number for the Pasadena Public Works Department is 713-475-7884.
